His most famous role is likely the recurring guest character of "DS Colin Drabble" on Lovejoy. Though he's never had a truly regular role, he made guest appearances on British television shows from the late-1960s to the early 1990s. Amongst these were: Z-Cars, Special Branch, and Derrick Sherwin and Peter Bryant's Paul Temple.
