"Sergeant Grunt" was what Captain Jack Harkness of Torchwood Cardiff called a UNIT sergeant who called him in the September following the Planetary Relocation Incident to report that UNIT's base in Washington was not able to find any cause for all the children on Earth having stopped, which the 456 were responsible for. Jack lamented that he was speaking to the sergeant instead of Martha Jones, who was on her honeymoon. (TV: Children of Earth: Day One)
