The hyper-space video-phone, also spelt hyper-space video phone, (PROSE: XL5 Collision Course!) was the technology used by the Space News Agency to relay many of their stories about the Daleks, (COMIC: Power Play et al.) whose planet Skaro was located in hyperspace. (COMIC: Genesis of Evil)

In early 2065, the hyper-space video-phone documented the landing of Kest's spaceship on Skaro, the slaves Sala and Astolith's efforts to gain their freedom, and the Daleks' attempts to discover the secrets of space travel. (COMIC: Power Play)

It was also used by Space Station K42 to picture Fireball XL5 firing an interceptor missile. (PROSE: XL5 Collision Course!)
