It led a squad of [[bronze]] [[Dalek]] [[Dalek drone|drones]] on the planet [[Carthedia]], across several runways in pursuit of the [[Eleventh Doctor]], [[Sabel Blakely|Sabel]], [[Jenibeth Blakely|Jenibeth]] and [[Ollus Blakely]], who were attempting to reach [[the Doctor|the Doctor's]] [[The Doctor's TARDIS|TARDIS]]. The Dalek Squad Leader and its fellow Daleks constantly [[Gunstick|fired]] at the Doctor and the [[child]]ren despite the Doctor's belief that they wouldn't want to risk damaging a nearby [[Dalek flying saucer|Dalek saucer]]. During the chase the Doctor temporarily distracted the Dalek Squad Leader and its patrol by broadcasting the [[hologram]] contained in Ollus' toy on the Daleks' command frequency, causing the attacking Daleks to believe a [[space warp]] had opened and was sending numerous [[comet]]s flying towards them. Shortly after, however, the Dalek Squad Leader identified the space warp as a holographic projection, and the patrol recommenced their pursuit of the Doctor and the children.
