I removed Harriet Jones from the list of companions because...to be perfectly honest, until now I've never seen someone call her a companion, so I'm a bit confused as to why she was listed. --Golden Monkey 22:17, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
I count her as pseudo-companion, much like the Brig and Benton her status as a companion is disputed but she shouldnt be listed as companion unless there is some comformation from the BBC Bigshowbower 23:22, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
Well most people see her as a recurring character like Jackie Tyler instead and TARDIS Wiki reflects that. --Golden Monkey 19:03, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
Broken Screwdriver?[[edit source]]
Just watching this episode now and around 1 minute 30 seconds in, the Doctor (accompanied by Rose and Harriet Jones) are running from the three Slitheen and pulls the Sonic out to open a door but something else (appearing to be most probably metallic) falls from his pocket. Regardless of whether it could be a part of the Screwdriver or not, this is an interesting fact to put into the Production Errors, n'est pas? :P

2.3 Expansion[[edit source]]
Possible explanations for story errors[[edit source]]
I have possible explanations for a couple of factual errors in the story:
First, the reference to the UK needing special "secret launch codes" from the UN is a compete fiction. The UK could launch a nuclear strike without needing permission from the UN. However, it is possible that this could be due to the Slitheen wanting to give their actions the appearance of legitimacy.
Second, when Mickey fires a UGM-84 missile at 10 Downing Street at the Doctor's instructions, the UGM-84 Harpoon used is an anti-ship missile and not a land-attack missile. A variant of the Harpoon has been designed as a Land Attack Missile (SLAM) but is not in service with the Royal Navy. Of course, the use of an anti ship weapon could be down to the Doctor deciding to improvise, by using the only weapon that could do the job in the limited time available.
