If we let in ''[[Before the Flood (TV story)|Before the Flood]]'', I see no reason to invalidate those when they have ''more'' of an explanation of quite who the character is talking to in-universe. In fact, it's best likened, I would say, to ''[[The Woman Who Fell to Earth (TV story)|The Woman Who Fell to Earth]]'' and ''[[Love & Monsters (TV story)|Love and Monsters]]''{{'}}s framing devices with [[Ryan Sinclair]] and [[Elton Pope]]'s vlogs. It ''looks'' like they're talking to the viewer, but the viewer is just being put in the shoes of the intended in-universe audience of the in-universe video is all.
