So... What is the Obverse?
The wiki currently appears to assume that it is the "winter world" (the narrative where the Doctor's mother is a mermaid), as shown by Eighth Doctor (Obverse). This is slightly contradicted by Iris's assertion to have "come from the Obverse" near the end of the book, when talking to the Eighth Doctor, as "Big Sue's world" can easily be assumed to be the world of Paul Magrs's Phoenix Court series, which Iris featured in. The reference to her "coming from the Obverse" only really makes sense if she's reference to her Phoenix Court origin, imo, placing Big Sue and Nesta in the Obverse... But Big Sue's page says she comes from Earth.
But even this current stance in inconsistent, as Sally (The Blue Angel) is said to be from "Earth", despite being from the same world as Eighth Doctor (Obverse). This is also contradicted by Icarus (The Blue Angel), as his page says he comes from the Obverse but he is only ever known to be in the big owl's work, Valcea, and Big Sue's world.
Additionally, near the end, Iris says to the Doctor that the baby that grew out of his leg "needs to travel between here and the Obverse", implying they aren't currently there.
So, if anyone can help, that'd be greatly appreciated. Cousin Ettolrahc ☎ 17:46, 12 May 2023 (UTC)

So... What is the Obverse?edit source

Cousin Ettolrahc 17:46, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
