How to Survive the Winter was a 10,000 Dawns anthology published by Arcbeatle Press for Christmas in 2020. It included Sonnenblumen, which was a crossover with the Doctor Who universe.

Its contents were later incorporated into Making Spirits Bright, which combined it with the earlier Halloween anthology Monsters Among Us while leaving out Sam Maleski's contribution to How to Survive the Winter, due to the publisher having severed their relationship with Maleski in the intervening time.
