Cobweb was a precognitive parahuman who worked as part of the mercenary team Special Executive. (COMIC: Black Sun Rising)
She had a relationship with fellow team member Legion (COMIC: Sid's Story) and was left devastated by his death. (COMIC: But They Never Really Die)

In the early days of the Special Executive Cobweb travelled back in time alongside the Executive's elderly Leader and fellow team members Zeitgeist, Legion, Numbers and Havanner. Their goal was to recruit members of the Technet team, which they succeeded in doing with Paradok, Ferro, Thug, Ringtoss and Pandora, however Fascination remained loyal to Technet's leader Gatecrasher. In an attempt to alter history and recruit Fascination three centuries too early, the Leader disguised himself as the Despot of Kandahar and poisoned Gatecrasher with ten thousand parasitic eggs.
