James Bolam MBE (born 16 June 1935[1]) played Sir Archibald Flint in the Big Finish Doctor Who audio story The Spectre of Lanyon Moor.

He is best remembered for his role as Terry Collier in the sitcom The Likely Lads (1964-66) and its sequel Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads? (1973-74), opposite Rodney Bewes; and the radio & TV sitcom Second Thoughts (1991-94), with Lynda Bellingham and Julia Sawalha. Modern television viewers, however, will know him best from his regular role as the senior Dr Gilder in the Chris Chibnall-created dramedy Born and Bred (2002-04).
