He also portrayed superhero Spider-Man in the blockbuster reboot of the franchise, achieving global fame in the process, despite the films being receiving mixed reviews. In 2021, he reprised his role as Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home, seeing his iteration of the character meet other Spider-Men from across the Marvel Multiverse, including the version of Spider-Man portrayed by Tobey Maguire.

Onstage, he acted alongside Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Russell Tovey, Susan Brown, and Amanda Lawrence in the National Theatre's revival of Angels in America.
