Jackson was an Edwardian sailor who was abducted by the Eternals to crew the Shadow during the race for Enlightenment.
Unlike his fellow sailors, Jackson did not drink alcohol and had refused to take the drink the Eternals used to hypnotise the human crew.
Believing that the officers had put something in the drinking water, Jackson asked Vislor Turlough to assist him in a mutiny, but the Eternals sensed it in their minds and Jackson was prevented from acting any further on it.
Jackson later tried to catch Turlough after he jumped overboard. (TV: Enlightenment)
