:I also find just "Sarah Jane" questionable. Polystyle Publications, Ltd. is now infamous for their poor chareactor naming, and Sarah was called "Sarah-Jane," not "Sarah Jane." youll find that the story pages indicate this, (check out Who's Who?#characters) so I find it doubtful that they got her name wright on the wrong Sarah... (Other examples of poor-naming includes "Betsy" as "Bessy" and oh, of coarse, "Doctor Who" instead of just The Doctor.) ::Because the "prime" Sarah Jane Smith was present, some of us may prefer hyphenation to keep the characters distinct from each other. However, the creators of the character of SJS intended her name to be unhyphenated, and any alternate counterparts thereof fall under the same principle we used for K9 – they are spelled the same way on this wiki regardless of how they were written in the source work. As for her full name, we have two contradictory precedents during the Third Doctor's era, Lethbridge-Stewart and John Benton, so the "Smith" should not be added until we have a definitive decision. (NOTE: Inferno Benton appeared in a novel, his first name may have been given in prose, in which case we should leave this article without the Smith.) Sarah Jane or Sarah Jane Smithedit source

I've moved this back to the original title of "Sarah Jane". But is there anything in the story to suggest that this article should be called "Sarah Jane Smith?" --Tangerineduel / talk 15:48, January 8, 2012 (UTC)

I also find just "Sarah Jane" questionable. (Other examples of poor-naming includes "Betsy" as "Bessy" and oh, of coarse, "Doctor Who" instead of just The Doctor.) OS25 (talk to me, baby.) 00:03, February 5, 2012 (UTC)
Because the "prime" Sarah Jane Smith was present, some of us may prefer hyphenation to keep the characters distinct from each other. (NOTE: Inferno Benton appeared in a novel, his first name may have been given in prose, in which case we should leave this article without the Smith.)
