Tristan de Vere Cole (born Tristan John de Vere Cole[1] on 16 March 1935[2]) directed the Doctor Who television story The Wheel in Space. He was earlier an uncredited production assistant for The Dalek Invasion of Earth with Jane Shirley (INFO: The Dalek Invasion of Earth) and The Gunfighters[3] with Angela Gordon.
Although Peter Bryant had alleged that de Vere Cole went overbudget in his directorial work on The Wheel in Space, he actually delivered the story within budget.[1]
