Private Latimer was a UNIT soldier who served under Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart.

Latimer guarded the Third Doctor's workshop during his stay at the Inferno Project. When the Doctor arrived back at the garage shortly after the murder committed by Harry Slocum, Latimer told the Doctor that they were still searching for him. He said that the Doctor should be safe in his garage as Slocum didn't have one of the Doctor's "funny gadgets", i.e. the sonic screwdriver. (TV: Inferno)
