Nehru jackets were hip length coats.
The Master often wore black or otherwise-dark nehru jackets, including as the "Inventor" Master (AUDIO: The Home Guard) and in the incarnation who menaced the Third Doctor. (TV: Terror of the Autons, Frontier in Space) A similar jacket was worn by the War Chief, depicted in some accounts as an incarnation of the Master, (TV: The War Games, PROSE: Doctor Who and the Doomsday Weapon) as well as by his alien employers.
