Nehru jackets were hip length coats.

The Master often wore black or otherwise-dark nehru jackets, including as the "Inventor" Master (AUDIO: The Home Guard) and in the incarnation who menaced the Third Doctor. (TV: Terror of the Autons, Frontier in Space) A similar jacket was worn by the War Chief, depicted in some accounts as an incarnation of the Master, (TV: The War Games, PROSE: Doctor Who and the Doomsday Weapon) as well as by his alien employers. Pale or white versions of the same outfit were worn by Time Lord technicians in the same account. (TV: The War Games)
