Goth was the bleak home planet of the Deathsmiths. It held their weapons cache, including their ultimate weapon, the Apocalypse Device.

Long after the Deathsmiths themselves seemed to have departed Goth, a squad of Cybermen landed on the planet. After the Apocalypse Device had, in effect, dispatched them (the Cyber-Leader of the squad, Maxel, destroying himself rather than re-locating the device off-world), a group of Sontarans arrived on Goth. (COMIC: Black Legacy)

Shortly after their creation, the New Dalek Paradigm made use of Goth's weapon production capabilities to quickly rebuild the Dalek Empire. (PROSE: Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe)
