Hoppit was a guard at a television studio that Monica, Buttons, and Cuthbert - the "TV Terrors" - had several encounters with.

Sometime in the 1960s, the trio visited the studio in an attempt to get the First Doctor's autograph after seeing him on TV. Hoppit chased them again, leading them to hide in a Police box. The group then discovered that this was actually the Doctor's TARDIS, which took them back to the Stone Age. While there, they tried to explore a cave, only to discover a Stone-Age Hoppit, who chased them back to the TARDIS.
