Ruth Baxter was Doland's lab assistant.
In 2986, she was exposed to Vervoid DNA when a speck of pollen entered a small cut on her finger, causing her to begin mutating into a human/plant hybrid. Professor Sarah Lasky, Bruchner and Doland secretly brought her aboard the Hyperion III, hoping to get to Earth and find a cure for her there. She was killed by the Vervoids.
