Having been announced as Doctor Who's returning showrunner in September 2021,[1] and his 60th Anniversary Specials airing in November and December 2023, Russell T Davies will remain the showrunner for the already-filmed 2023 and 2024 Christmas Specials,[2] along with the 14th and 15th series, the latter of which began filming in October 2023.[3]
He also created the Doctor's companion Ruby Sunday.
