Bicorne

The bicorne was a two-cornered cocked hat worn especially in the 18th and early 19th centuries.

Both sides of the Napoleonic War wore black bicornes, including Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte and Field Marshal Arthur Wellesley, the first Duke of Wellington. (AUDIO: The Curse of Davros; PROSE: H.M.S. Tardis) The Seventh Doctor tried on a black bicorne before settling for a cream Panama hat with a scarlet paisley band. (TV: Time and the Rani)
