Earth Declares War! was a 21 short story printed in TV Century 21 that contained elements from the Doctor Who universe.
Presented in the format of a "cover" story, it constituted 21's main contribution to the ongoing, multi-series Space War arc, itself a crossover with the DWU.
Summary
A TV 21 report gives the latest news as war with Astro inches closer.
Characters
Worldbuilding
- The World Government's War Council has met to set in motion the wheels of war. This follows Astro's rejection of Earth's ultimatum that Astron space battleships must withdraw from the Solar System.
- Nikita Bandranaik, the World President, has ordered full mobilisation with XL space patrol ships and Dreadnought Space Cruiser-battleships taking up position near Saturn for a full scale offensive.
- At the same time, Space City has started the countdown on its Interplanetary Ballistic Missiles aimed at Astro.
Story notes
- Although technically a 21 story, Agent Twenty One does not appear.
- Astra and Astran are mispelled "Astro" and "Astron" respectively in this story. There are also some minor discrepancies with the actual events of Space Border Battle and Ceasefire — But War Tension Mounts....
Continuity
- Astra and the Solar System are on the brink of Space War. (COMIC: Space Border Battle et al.)
- Nikita Bandranaik has ordered full mobilisation. (PROSE: Battle in Space)
