The Reptileanus Hesperides was a type of dragon which lived on a minor planet in the deep galactic environs during the Ozilian Era. These dragons were green-scaled, had no wings and could loosely be described as "sea monsters", according to the Second Doctor. They had evolved from the more typical dragons which formerly inhabited the planet.
When Second Doctor, Jamie McCrimmon and Victoria Waterfield visted the planet, the TARDIS materialised on the back of one of these dragons. Later, the Doctor was fed to a dragon by the Manti who ruled the planet, but he was able to entrance the dragon with the use of his recorder. (PROSE: Valley of Dragons)
