The Dalek War Council was the war council of the humanoid Daleks. It was led by War Minister Zolfian and the council chamber was located in a remote region on the continent of Darren.
Following the discovery of cobalt in the Radiation Range and the construction of a neutron bomb, Zolfian told the War Council that the Daleks were ready to destroy the Thals. Drenz, the pacifist ruler of the Daleks, interrupted this meeting and ordered that Zolfian's warmongering cease, lest the Daleks, meddling with forces they did not understand, accidentally destroy the planet; Zolfian reacted by murdering Drenz right there and then, declaring him unworthy of leading their proud race.
Later, Skaro was devastated when the Daleks' stock of neutron bombs was inadvertently detonated by fires resulting from a meteorite storm. Zolfian and the scientist Yarvelling survived the radiation by staying inside the council chamber. They emerged after two years due to Yarvelling's mistaken belief that the radioactivity had sufficently subsided, adding that he would have gone mad if forced to spend another day in "that hovel".
