Executive Action was a Captain Britain comic and the main story published in The Daredevils #5 and cover-dated May 1983. It featured the first appearance of the Special Executive characters Wardog, Zeitgeist and Cobweb since Black Sun Rising.
The Special Executive's appearance was foreshadowed in the previous issue with an announcement being seen in a shop window reading "COMING SOON Saturyne & the Special Executive". Their story arc with Captain Britain lasted until the eleventh issue.
Summary
Wardog sets out the plan for the Special Executive to reach Captain Britain: Cobweb uses her telepathy to let them see Braddock Manor rather than its hologram disguise; Zeitgeist uses his phasing powers to disable the telepath Thomas Lennox and the mansion's computer system; and then Cobweb confronts the alerted Elizabeth Braddock, letting the psychic read her mind, rendering her unconscious as she tries to fathom how Cobweb stays in psi-contact with her past and future selves.
That done, they confront Captain Britain. After he knocks out Cobweb, Wardog tries to reason with him: they need him to give testimony in court for a woman accused of a crime she didn't commit. Captain Britain wonders why they didn't just say so. Wardog admits they didn't think he'd willingly come with them to help Saturyne - they're right, as Captain Britain flies into a rage at the idea of helping the woman who left him to die. Fascination uses her time distortion powers to overwhelm Captain Britain (like a drug trip) and the Special Executive take him away.
Cobweb feels this job is beneath them. When Wardog says she needs to be philosophical about it (and accept they need the money), she tells him to "drop dead".

Notes
- The Special Executive are characters owned by Marvel Comics and so can appear outside of Doctor Who Magazine. As with other Who spinoff characters, they can't refer explicitly to their Doctor Who stories; they don't appear implicitly either.
Continuity
- This takes place after COMIC: 4-D War for the Special Executive, as Wardog has a robot arm.
- Captain Britain's anger with Saturyne is due to her abandoning him and his ally Jackdaw to die on an alternative Earth. He was resurrected from death in COMIC: A Rag, a Bone, a Hank of Hair....
