Lola was an orphan who lived in an orphanage operated by Mrs Hatchet.
In 1852, her younger sister Rosie was seemingly eaten by a monster from her nightmares - something which later turned out to be an illusion. With the Tenth Doctor's help, Lola discovered that her sister was still alive, and managed to rescue her. (PROSE: The Shape on the Chair)
