Instructions for {{Cbdbx}}
{{cbdbx}} is a template for creating external links to comicbookdb.com, which is particularly useful for comic book creators. As of 22:03, April 14, 2011 (UTC), this template only creates links to creators, but it may be adapted to allow for other kinds of links.

Usage

It's very easy to use this template. Go to a creator page on comicbookdb.com. Note the ID number in the URL. Then type
{{cbdbx|ID number}}
For instance, if you were trying to create a link for Mark Farmer, you'd note that his cbdb ID# is 316. You'd therefore type
{{cbdbx|316}}
on his page to create a link. Note, however, that this template expects you to be on the page of the artist involved. Here's what happens if the above is entered on this page:

It creates a correct link to Mark Farmer's cbdb page, but it reflects the current page name.

If the display name needs to be different from the page name, like on Brian Miller (artist), a second parameter can be used. So typing
{{cbdb|1544|Brian Miller}}
creates the proper undabbed link:
