The Battle of the Valiant was the final short story of the Dalek Wars series, printed in issue 59 of Doctor Who: Battles in Time magazine.

In General Kerim Jendrassik's memoirs, when the Daleks began their invasion of Earth, the Valiant began its defence of the planet. It was specifically targeted by the Daleks and sustained heavy damage. When it was forced over heavily populated areas, the decision was taken to land on empty farmland, avoiding further loss of life, but the battle of the Valiant continued...
