An Auton duplicate of Major-General Scobie was created to take the real Scobie's place and command the army.
History[[edit] | [edit source]]
With the real Scobie having been placed in Madame Tussauds in a form of suspended animation, the duplicate retrieved the final Nestene meteorite control unit from UNIT and returned it to Channing, before taking a squad of men to arrest the Brigadier's UNIT troops when they raided Auto Plastics.
Fortunately, the Third Doctor uncovered this Scobie as an imposter by using his UHF transmitter to deactivate him, revealing that he was just a plastic dummy.
When the duplicate was destroyed, the real Scobie suddenly awoke in Madame Tussauds, to the surprise of the museum's visitors. (TV: Spearhead from Space [+]Loading...["Spearhead from Space (TV story)"])
