Auto Plastics, Ltd. was a British company that manufactured plastic products, including dolls and (later) shop window mannequins.

George Hibbert was its Managing Director, and a known employee was John Ransome (who was dismissed after the company was taken over by the Nestene agent Channing and used to manufacture Autons). When under the control of the Nestenes, the factory produced plastic facsimiles for Madame Tussauds, including one of Major General Scobie. What the company delivered to the museum, however, were the actual subjects in suspended animation. The plastic facsimiles, which were actually Autons, took the subjects' places as part of the Nestenes' plot to take over the British government and then the world. Auto Plastics' shop window mannequins broke out of their stores and began killing humans en masse.

Auto Plastics was eventually raided by UNIT. (TV: Spearhead from Space [+]Loading...["Spearhead from Space (TV story)"])
