Robert Banks Stewart, (16 July 1931-14 January 2016[1]) wrote the Doctor Who television stories Terror of the Zygons and The Seeds of Doom. He also wrote the initial synopsis of The Foe from the Future, which was adapted as part of Big Finish Productions' The Lost Stories range of Fourth Doctor audio stories. Elements from the story were also recycled into The Talons of Weng-Chaing.
Banks Stewart also appeared as one of the faces seen during the mind-bending contest between Morbius and the Fourth Doctor in The Brain of Morbius. (DWM 329)

Banks Stewart began writing in 1959, penning thirteen episodes of Interpol Calling. Afterwards, he wrote for Danger Man, Dr. Finlay's Casebook, The Avengers, Adam Adamant Lives!, Callan, Jason King and The Sweeney. However, he is best known for creating Shoestring (1979-80) and Bergerac (1981-91).
