David Arnold (born 23 January 1962[1]) is the British composer who Big Finish Productions commissioned to arrange a version of the Doctor Who theme which was used as the main theme of the Eighth Doctor audio plays.
Arnold is a prolific composer for film and television. He is perhaps best known for his work on the James Bond films Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. He also composed the scores for the films Stargate and Independence Day, as well as the television series Little Britain and Sherlock (the latter written and spearheaded by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss). He also composed the score for 2019's Good Omens, which was notable for starring David Tennant and featuring Mark Gatiss.
