In-universe, the [[Dalek Combat Training Manual]] was composed during the [[Last Great Time War]] by the [[Time Lord]]s by not only scrutinising the Daleks' past history, but also by using [[the Matrix]] to project the future battles between [[the Doctor]] and the Daleks in the [[post-Time War universe]].
