- "Mark" is the Master's TARDIS from the Last Great Time War, a Mark 212.
- Among those taken on as pilots by Mark were Chuck Dowd, the O'Leary brothers, Amanda Freelove and Roy Schiff.
- In the course of her travels with Mark, Amanda Freelove posed for Pablo Picasso, played Senet with Cleopatra, and secretly married Lord Byron in the Church of Saint Mary Magdelene. After Lord Byron left her for Anne Milbanke, Amanda decided to die in 1814, rather than return to the 21st century.
