Spats

Spats were footwear accessories for outdoor wear, covering the instep and the ankle.

The Sixth Doctor wore royal orange spats. (TV: The Twin Dilemma-Time and the Rani). His successor, the Seventh Doctor, wore them before switching outfits. (TV: Time and the Rani)
