' | The Doctor and Leela materialise in London, or so they think. After checking on K9, who is elsewhere in the ship, they step out of the TARDIS. They notice that there doesn't seem to be any signs of life or people. They are being observed through security cameras by Maddox. They meet two people who are acting strangely. The Doctor and Leela walk over to a park and meet Hemmings. He warns the Doctor and Leela not to go near "the Edge". Soon, they hear a scream and try to help. They enter a building but see that it is too late; the person is dead. They go into other buildings. Others have been killed, as well.
