Vanguard was a salvage ship in the Garazone System.
Fifty years after the end of the Cyber-Wars, a Telosian star destroyer was discovered in the system. In 2503, Vanguard was one of the ships that tried to salvage it to be used in the Orion War. The crew was mostly taken over by a Cybermat, but the Eighth Doctor stopped the Cyberman from converting anyone in the system. (AUDIO: Sword of Orion)
