The Neptune was a cargo ship. When Ben Anderson sailed on it in December 1988, Captain Hatcher was in command. The ship left California on an around-the-world journey, during which it would visit Tokyo, South Korea, Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Suez Canal, Halifax, New York and Panama before ending its journey back in California.
