The Crooked Man was a novel by Geoff Corbett. It contained the Crooked Man, a character which came to life in the Land of Fiction.

After Geoff's daughter, Laura Corbett, accidentally included the original manuscript in a collection of books sold to Rance at a second-hand bookshop, the Crooked Man crossed over from the Land of Fiction to the real world.
