Monoid Number One XVII (PROSE: The Ark) was the leader of the Monoids in and after their revolution against the humans on the Ark in the 57th Segment of Time.

One's family ruled the Monoid Order since his ancestor Monoid One I led the Monoid revolution against the Guardians. (PROSE: The Ark) One's name was his rank as he was overall leader. His communicator had the numeral 1 embossed on it, an indication of this rank. One stayed on the Ark while Two scouted Refusis II.
