Prelude Tragedy Day was, as the name suggested, a prelude to Tragedy Day by Gareth Roberts. It did not appear in the published novel.

On Frinjel 87, Meredith and her son are hired by the Friars of Pangloss to kill a man and retrieve a red pyramid from him.
The Supreme One of Luminus reads the morning reports, makes plans for the wars between the independent states and looks forward to Tragedy Day.
The Doctor has put his TARDIS on a random setting, and it prepares to materialise.
