An untitled illustration by Lee Sullivan was published in the article We Are Time's Champions, from Doctor Who Magazine issue 267. The image depicts Bernice Summerfield, a character originally designed by Sullivan, sitting under a tree.

Part of the art would be featured several months later on the first Doctor Who Universe releases by Big Finish Productions, starting with AUDIO: Oh No It Isn't! It was also used as the full cover of the audio anthology Buried Treasures, although the Seventh Doctor was painted out. The image was likely also influential to the earliest promotional images of Lisa Bowerman as the character, which also featured her underneath a large tree.

Notes

The first photoshoot of Lisa Bowerman as Bernice Summerfield, visibly influenced by this illustration.

Lee Sullivan was the artist who originally designed Bernice Summerfield. His first illustrations of her were featured in PROSE: Travelling Companions.

Although Sullivan's website claims this illustration was made for Doctor Who Magazine, it would become widely used in the early Big Finish Productions Bernice Summerfield audios later that year. Big Finish would also do a photoshoot with Lisa Bowerman as the character, which included her recreating the pose from this illustration.
