Dao swords were Chinese swords with curved blades.
Many daos were used by many warriors in China during 1289; some by those loyal to Kublai Khan, and some to Tegana. (TV: Marco Polo)
In 1807, the Thirteenth Doctor, Yasmin Khan, Dan Lewis, Zheng Yi Sao and Sin Ji-Hun used dao swords to fight the Sea Devils led by a chief. (TV: Legend of the Sea Devils)
