In an unspecified parallel universe, Fitz Kreiner had encountered a song by the Beatles that had what Trix MacMillan said was the same tune as "Jealous Guy" with different lyrics.
The song began with:
On the road to Rishikesh
I was dreaming more or less
(PROSE: The Gallifrey Chronicles [+]Loading...["The Gallifrey Chronicles (novel)"])
Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
In the real world, "Jealous Guy" is a song released by John Lennon soon after the breakup of the Beatles. The tune was originally composed in 1968 with different lyrics and a different title - "Child of Nature" - but for reasons unknown, the song never made it onto a Beatles album. The original lyrics (available here) begin with the same couplet that Fitz provides in the novel.
