Shambhala is a mythical kingdom in both Hindu and Buddhist mythology, where the most sacred spiritual teachings are preserved. It is a Sanskrit word meaning "place of peace" or "place of silence". It is said to exist somewhere between the Himalayas and the Gobi Desert.
