After Chan Chiu told the Doctor about the stone monkey, Li decided to help the Doctor by taking him to the [[temple]] in [[Qingyang]] where it resided. They encountered mind-controlled guards and then the stone monkey and its two associates, who were all [[alien]]s. The Doctor eventually trapped the aliens with the restraint ray of their own [[spaceship]], and sent them back to their own planet to be arrested.

After Chan Chui revealed he wasn't fit enough to go after the stone monkey, Li decided to go along and help the Doctor. The Doctor and Li found themselves battling Chinese guards, then finally battling the legendary stone monkey.

After the stone monkey was defeated, Li and the Doctor went their separate ways, leaving Li longing for another adventure.
