Following the broadcast of season 1 (2024) of Doctor Who, which was filmed from December 2022-July 2023,[1] Russell T Davies stayed on as executive producer and head writer for season 2 (2025), which was filmed from October 2023-May 2024.[2][3] He is also the creator, head writer (showrunner), and executive producer of the spin-off series The War Between the Land and the Sea, which is set to begin filming in August 2024.[4]
