Notes
- The book is dedicated to Tommy Donbavand.[5][6]
- The wrap-around cover features all incarnations of the Doctor up to the then-current and also Adric.
- A story by veteran series writer Gareth Roberts was to be included in the anthology.[7] While BBC Books paid him for his story, Roberts released a personal statement saying that it would not be printed following complaints from fans and authors regarding his transphobic remarks on Twitter in 2017.[8] Susie Day, another author for The Target Storybook, publicly stated: "I raised my concerns, and said if he was in, I was out. I don't share a platform with bigots."[9]
- Cover art is by Anthony Dry, with illustrations by Mike Collins.
