Harold V, previously Harold F, was a citizen of Terra Alpha and Helen A's gag writer until he was charged with being a killjoy.

Harold F worked as Helen A's gag writer, although he was not proud of his jokes. After his brother, (TV: The Happiness Patrol [+]Loading...["The Happiness Patrol (TV story)"]) Andrew X, (PROSE: The Happiness Patrol [+]Loading...["The Happiness Patrol (novelisation)"]) was arrested by the Happiness Patrol, Harold F went looking for him and learnt of various other disappearances.
