Other recurring roles in popular science fiction/fantasy series include the role of Milton Fine/Brainiac in ''Smallville'', as well as Barnabas Greeley in ''Caprica''.

His character had even used the alias "The Doctor" in the Season 6 episode [[w:c:buffy:As You Were|''As You Were'']] of ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'', though his actions bore no similiarities to the namesake. As Spike, Marsters affected a convincing British accent; he subsequently often appears on fan "wish lists" of potential actors to play [[the Doctor]].

James Marsters (born 20 August 1962[1]) is an American actor who played John Hart in the Torchwood episodes Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, Fragments and Exit Wounds. He later reprised his role for the 2018 Big Finish Torchwood audio story The Death of Captain Jack and the anthology The Sins of Captain John.
